Hello! I’m Nicholas Henshall and I am the Parish Priest here at St Thomas the Apostle.
I’ve been ordained for over 35 years and over that time I have served all sorts of communities – 14 years in inner city Newcastle; 12 years in Cathedral ministry; and 6 years serving a large church in North Yorkshire. Arriving here in Groombridge has been amazing – a vibrant and loving community in a place of great beauty.
Nicholas (happily also known as Nick) arrived in Groombridge on Valentine’s Day 2023.
He is passionate about communication and used to work for both BBC Radio Derby and the international weekly, The Tablet.
